Christmastime is here, and that means a little time off to chill at home (or continued time if you’ve been working from home).

So sit back and catch up on the TV and movies that friends and family keep talking about, but that you haven’t seen yet. Stop being left out of conversations and covering your ears to avoid spoiler alerts, and get to binging!

This holiday season, some of our crew at Windsong is throwing out some of our favorite binge-worthy watches to entertain you while lounging on the couch. We’re limiting our selections to three per person, because honestly, the lists could be longer than a CVS receipt.

After all, we are a video production company. This is kinda what we do. 😉

    • Big Mouth (Netflix) — Raunchy. Gross. Absurd. Completely inappropriate. And sooooo hilarious! It’s one of the better adult cartoons I’ve seen in the last handful of years, and it’s an easy watch with eps clocking in at under 30 minutes.
    • The Undoing (HBO Max) — You mighta heard some chatter about this one — a murder mystery with some heavy hitters like Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Donald Sutherland and Italian newcomer (relatively) Matilda De Angelis. And it’s worth the time. Sure, there are some storytelling holes your imagination has to fill. But it’ll have you guessing for a while … until you know for sure.
    • The Wire (HBO Max) — Arguably the best show every produced. It’s time for you to stop lying to your friends that you’ve seen it, or to actually finish it, or to check it off your bucket list after years of saying you’ll get to it soon. Do it now!

Joanne Mercado Hicks, Producer/Production Manager

    • Vice Principals (HBO Max) — There’s something about the dark twisted comedy of Vice Principals that never gets old, rewatch after rewatch. The hijinks and outrageous antics makes my husband laugh and that puts a smile on my face.
    • The Crown (Netflix) — Josh O’Connor’s portrayal and performance of Prince Charles is reason enough to watch the series — and come on, I love the Royal Family.
    • Never Have I Ever (Netflix) — If you’re looking for an endearing and wonderfully written coming-of-age show, holler at Never Have I Ever, because Paxton H.Y. Duh.

Tony Bennett, Lead Editor

    • Ted Lasso (Apple TV) — A little British humor, a little American humor, and heart for days. The show that coined the phrase “Biscuits with the Boss.” I dare you not to like it.
    • Barry (HBO Max) – A hit man becomes an actor. Truly the King of Suck B**** Mountain TV.
    • The Grinder (Amazon Prime) — Originally a one-season show on FOX, and well worth the time. An actor who plays a lawyer on TV quits acting and decides to join the family law firm without bothering to actually pass the bar. Rob Lowe at his very best.

Carolina De La Torre, Production Assistant

    • Deaf U (Netflix)— You get the fix of watching a reality TV show while also learning more about the deaf community. Win, win.
    • The Platform (Netflix) — The concept is great, however, the execution lacked. Womp, womp. But if you are seeking a Spanish thriller, this will definitely keep you on your toes!
    • The Queen’s Gambit (Netflix) — Because we Stan an intellectual baddie!
