Kyle and Jo’s Boston Adventure

Working at a production company, we get to see the world. Okay, maybe not the world, but we do get to travel all over the United States. We’ve traveled all over California, Iowa, sunny Florida and even Alaska, the home of the midnight sun. Most of the time our crew will jump on a plane, head to the location, unpack, set-up, shoot and then before we know it, it’s time to pack it all up and head home.

Just recently, Kyle and I were assigned to work on a production on the east coast. We found ourselves in beautiful Boston, MA. Our main shoot was in New Hampshire, and we were pretty much booked every minute of the day, from the time we landed, up until we had to get back on a plane home. However, since Kyle and I have never been to Boston, we were determined to find time to explore the historical city!

After reviewing the production schedule and our flight itinerary…this is what we came up with.

THREE HOURS.

That’s all we had.

Three hours to see everything and anything. Three hours to take in the history of Boston, meet some locals and enjoy our surroundings. So there it was. Our mission. Could we do it? Was it even possible? We were determined and this is what happened…

In the 1950’s the city of Boston was determined to preserve the history of the American Revolution. There are 16 historical sites  located along a  2.5 mile urban walking trail, marked with a bricked or painted red line. The bricked trail is famously known as The Freedom Trail.

A fancy panorama of the city of Boston, on our way to Copp’s Hill Burying Ground.

This is Boston’s second oldest burial ground. It was first founded in 1659 as Windmill Hill.

Had to capture one more video before we headed back to our hotel.

And that’s how we did it! Well, that’s how we finished The Freedom Trail in three hours. We may not have had enough time to truly explore all of Boston, but we sure did have a great time seeing what we could. I even found six extra seconds to eat some solid Boston oysters.

Until the next production, toodles!
